Are you picturing English lessons as sitting quietly in a classroom, memorizing vocabulary, and doing grammar exercises? Think again! The English Department of Canossa College offers so much more! We are proud to present a unique learning experience like no other.

In the junior forms, our girls eagerly anticipate their Drama (S1), Language Arts (S2) and Communication (S3) lessons every week! Even the shyest students have a chance to shine by acting, reading aloud poetry, pitching proposals, delivering presentations, and engaging in debates!

In addition to our innovative curriculum, we believe that language learning should extend beyond the confines of a classroom. Our school organizes various engaging inter-class activities, such as the Storytelling Competition, Choral Speaking Competition, Fashion Show and Debating, which have proven to be highly successful in creating an authentic learning atmosphere. 

But what about our senior students? Don't worry! As they prepare for the HKDSE examinations, they have voted for several favorite activities along their journey. One of the highlights is the designing of English game booths by our dedicated Secondary 4 students, who are more than happy to share their knowledge and wisdom with their younger sisters. Additionally, we spice things up by organizing inter-school speaking practices. These experiences have been well-received, and our girls always ask for more opportunities for interflows like these.
