By studying History, students can widen their horizons by understanding different cultures in the world. They can also enhance their critical thinking skills.
The History Panel encourages our students to learn anytime and anywhere. Local visits have been arranged for the students to study history outside the classrooms. For example, every year the F.5 elective students will have a cultural walk in Central and Sheung Wan to enrich their understanding of local history, a critical part in the HKDSE syllabus.
We also collaborated with the Chinese Panel for a study project for which F.2 students studied the history of Quarry Bay. Students visited the Public Records Office of Hong Kong and the Swire Archives in Quarry Bay to complete their projects. Through this project, our junior form students acquired a better understanding of their neighbourhood. The project also helped them understand that history is closely related to their life.
We are fully committed to offering an all-round education enhanced with the Gospel spirit and the virtues of humility, respect, kindness and love.
