The Canossa College Choir was established in 1989. It includes the junior choir and the senior choir. Throughout the years, they have participated in various music activities such as the Canossa College 55th Anniversary Concert, the Millennium Concert, the joint school fund-raising concert and musicals like “Rooster Rag”, “Cinderella”, “The Secret Garden”, “Scrooge” and “We Celebrate, We Embrace”. Besides, the Choir also actively participates in school events such as Lunchtime concerts, Graduation Day performances and Year-end concerts. Choir members keep on polishing their techniques by taking part in competitions and get fruitful results. In 2010, the Choir obtained the Gold Diploma in the World Choir Games held in Xiaoxing, China. In 2013, the Choir obtained the Golden Diploma in the Hong Kong International Youth and Children’s Choir Festival. In the H.K. Schools Music Festival, the Choir was the Champion of Girls aged 14 and under (singing in foreign language) in 1992 and 2001. They got the first-runner up in the year 1991, 1997, 2009, 2010, 2019 and the second-runner up in the year 1990, 2000, 2004, 2013, 2016 and 2017 respectively. The Choir will continue to extend their repertoire and pursue higher achievements in the future.
