Visual Arts
Apart from the fundamental curriculum for junior students, our school provides a DSE curriculum for senior
learners who are interested in Visual Arts (V.A.). With both indoor and outdoor learning activities, students
can gain more art learning experiences and exposures.

As seen in important festivals, beautiful artworks can also be found everywhere in our school campus.
Round the corner or up the stairs are students’ displays or exhibits. The mini-exhibition held every year in the
Campus Visit is amazing and unforgettable to the visitors. Come and sail in our art ocean. I am sure you will
have a full ship of beautiful memories.

The various art activities put the school in a spectrum of gaily colours. The art atmosphere, hopefully, adds
fuel to the learning of our students.

The whole school participated in the wall painting activity “Let's Colour 校園添色彩計劃” in 2014 organized by Dulux.

School Orchestra

Background

The Orchestra was established in 1990. Over the years, it has developed into a full-size orchestra, and now has around 30 members. Our School Orchestra is a special group in Canossa College and is an integral part of  the school’s music life.

On campus, it gave numerous performances on various occasions like Speech Day, Millennium Concert, Campus Visit, Christmas celebration, joint preparatory school music performance etc.

Off campus, Canossa College Orchestra takes part in the Joint School Music Association Orchestra Competition every year. In 2018 and 2019, the Orchestra was awarded Gold Award in two consecutive years. Students are also formed into small ensemble groups and achieve satisfactory results in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival and other competitions.

The Orchestra is now under the baton of Mr. Joe Chan Hok Chun who shows great enthusiasm in developing young musicians. Furthermore, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our school, we have invited Mr. Leung Chi Pong to compose an original symphonic song, ‘Festival Celebration’ (節慶禮) which will be performed by the Orchestra in the celebration concert.
