Legislative Council Complex Tour
23.Apr.2026

Understanding how laws are made is essential to becoming an engaged and responsible citizen. That is exactly what seventeen of our Form 4 and Form 5 students experienced during an immersive visit to the Legislative Council Complex, organised by the Department of Citizenship and Social Development.

The visit was carefully designed with two key learning objectives in mind. Students aimed to deepen their understanding of the work of the Legislative Council and to learn about its composition and functions. To achieve these goals, the highlight of the day was an interactive role-play guided tour, during which students stepped into the shoes of Legislative Councillors. Simulating a council meeting, they engaged in mock debates, proposed amendments, and followed parliamentary procedures, bringing textbook concepts directly to life.

Walking through the historic and symbolic spaces of the LegCo Complex, our students deepened their appreciation for the legislative process, the importance of rational deliberation, and the balance between rights and responsibilities.

We are fully committed to offering an all-round education enhanced with the Gospel spirit and the virtues of humility, respect, kindness and love.
