We are fully committed to offering an all-round education enhanced with the Gospel spirit and the virtues of humility, respect, kindness and love.

(A)    Learning and character formation

Canossa students can:

1.    lay the foundation for life-long education in a pleasurable learning environment;

2.    master biliteracy and trilingualism, express opinions confidently and well use language for communication;

3.    build knowledge through enriched experience and reflection;

4.    exercise their logical, independent and creative thinking to make rational decisions;

5.    improve interpersonal relationship through knowing how to get along with others, mutual respect, acceptance, trust and cooperation;

6.    be socially informed and concerned citizens with a global outlook;

7.    attain a sense of belonging to the school, responsibility to the family and service spirit to the community, as well as the zeal for justice and righteousness;

8.    appreciate Chinese culture and foster a sense of nationhood;

9.    nourish true Christian values, particularly humility, respect, kindness as well as love and strive hard to live up to their spirit;

 and lead a meaningful life by deepening spiritual literacy.

                                                                                                                                    

(B) The school will:

1.    explore and provide more learning opportunities for students outside the school.

2.    solicit more support from alumnae and parents.

(C) School-based management

To ensure key stakeholders of the school have direct participation in school management, the Government has introduced legislation in 1999 to lay down rules and regulations governing the implementation of school-based management. The Incorporated Management Committee of Canossa College was established in 2013. The school strives to:

1.    Ensure that students are supported, cared for and guided in the development of self-esteem, self-confidence;

       nurture in them sound moral values and positive outlook on life; provide more autonomy and

 room for students and endeavor to enrich their school life.

 

 

2.    Introduce a participatory governance framework to encourage constructive communication among the school sponsoring body (SSB),

 the principal, teachers (teacher manager), parents (parent manager), alumni (alumni manager) and

 independent community members (independent manager) so as to contribute to effective school operation.

            (甲)學習與培育方面

                     嘉諾撒書院的學生能夠:

1. 在愉快的學習環境中,奠定終生學習的基礎。

2. 掌握兩文三語,自信地表達意見及善用語言溝通。

3. 藉充實經驗和反思去建構知識。

4. 以符合邏輯、獨立和有創意的思考,作理智的決定。

5. 促進人際關係:懂得與人相處、互相尊重、接納、信任及合作。

6. 成為關心社會、留意時事發展,並具有國際視野的公民。

7. 養成對學校的歸屬感,對家庭的責任感,社區的服務精神,以及對社會公理與正義的渴求。

8. 欣賞中國文化,養成對國家民族的感情。

9. 努力實踐基督徒的道德與價值觀,尤其是謙、恭、仁、愛的精神。

10. 深化心靈素質以追尋有意義的人生。

 

            (乙)學校會:

1. 致力為學生發掘和提供更多校外學習機會。

2. 邀請校友和家長在各方面支持。

 

            (丙)校本管理

為了確保所有資助學校的主要持分者能直接參與學校管理,政府已於1999年立法訂明資助學校管治的架構,並要求所有資助學校均須按照《教育條例》的規定,成立法團校董會。本校的法團校董會依例於2013年成立。學校致力於:

1.   支持、關懷學生,並指導她們建立自尊、自信;培養正確的道德觀念及

      積極的人生觀;給予學生更多的自主及思想空間,並為她們開拓多姿

      多采的校園生活。

2.    透過共同參與的管治架構,鼓勵辦學團體、校長、

       老師(老師校董)、家長(家長校董)、校友(校友校董)及

       獨立社會人士(獨立校董)之間的有效溝通,使校政更臻完善。
